The most common type of pony bead is about 6x9mm and the holes are relatively large as compared to other types of beads. Pony beads are also available in faceted beads and mini pony beads (which are 4 x 6.5mm). Pony beads are also referred to as crow beads and are drum shaped or barrel shaped.

People love creating with pony beads because the simple shape works for so many different types of projects and can be combined with other beads like alphabet letter beads, different types of string and materials. PONY BEAD EFFECTS
Our pony beads come in 5 different effects or finishes / color styles:

• Transparent Pony Beads - these are see-through colors that allows light to pass through
• Opaque Pony Beads -  solid (not see-through)
• Pearlized Pony Beads - this effect mimics the soft shimmer of freshwater pearls
• Glitter Pony Beads - these are transparent beads enhanced with glitter
• Glow in the Dark Pony Beads - in the light, they are milky, translucent colors, but in the dark (in certain conditions) they are a faint light green colors (white glows the best!)
• Matte Pony Beads - these craft beads are super cool! They come in tons of colors with a trendy matte finish

PINKS & REDS
Our pinks & reds include the basic baby pink and red plus pale, pastel pinks, bright neon pinks, and berry inspired colors in transparent, opaque, pearlized and glitter shades.
